Using multiple caller IDs

Steps to Change Your Caller ID in The VXT Desktop Application

  1. Go to Settings

    Open VXT and navigate to the settings in the bottom left hand corner

  2. Calling Settings

    Select the calling settings from the settings menu. Click the drop-down menu on Caller ID and choose the Caller ID you want to use.

  3. Enable Caller ID Switcher

    Turn on ‘Show Caller ID switcher’.

    This will make the Caller ID switcher visible in the dialing bar at the top of your screen, allowing you to easily select your Caller ID at any time.

    Once you enable the Caller ID switcher it will appear in your dialing bar as shown in the screenshot below:

 

Using Multiple Caller IDs Mobile

Steps to Change Your Caller ID in the VXT Mobile Application

  1. Open the Mobile App

    Launch the VXT app on your mobile device.

  2. Navigate to Settings

    Tap the menu icon or settings icon, found in the lower right hand corner of the screen.


  3. Manage Phone Numbers

    Select “Manage Phone Number” from the settings menu.

  4. Choose Outbound Phone Number

    Tap on “Outbound Phone” to view the list of available caller IDs. Select the caller ID you wish to use. This will only be available if you have multiple phone numbers set up in your account.

  5. Enable Caller ID Switcher

    Turn on the “Outbound Phone Switcher” option. This will activate a drop-down button in the Dial Screen, allowing you to easily switch between caller IDs.

So after turning that button on your Dial Screen should look like this:

Can’t see any other Caller ID’s?

  • The ability to change your caller ID is only available if you have access to more than one Caller ID. If you can’t see additional options and you think you should be able to, ask your admin to give you access.
