Turn VXT Voicemail off (legacy service)

How to go back to your mobile service providers normal voicemail services.

You can set up "voicemail inboxes" in VXT, which allows you to forward voicemail from a mobile number on a traditional mobile network such as Vodafone, to VXT and receive your voicemail in our app.

To turn VXT Voicemail off, and go back to receiving your voicemail through your mobile service provider, in the VXT app go to Settings --> Voicemail forwarding -> Forward voicemail to your carrier.

If you've already uninstalled the VXT app, call the appropriate number below, DO include the *'s, + and # or it may not work:

Vodafone New Zealand: *004*+6421700700#

Spark: **004*+6483200000*11#

2degrees: *004*+64222022000#

Optus: ##004#

Vodafone Australia: 1211

Telstra: ##004#

Virgin Mobile AU: **004*212#

If you can't see your provider in the above list try calling the number below:

##004#

This number is an internationally recognised code. No one will answer when you call it, but it will turn off conditional forwarding on your phone.

If you call this number and either, your voicemail is still with VXT, or you cannot receive any voicemail at all then your mobile service provider is not correctly supporting international standards. Unfortunately, this is not uncommon.

If you are still having issues, contact your mobile service provider and ask them to reset your voicemail, or conditional call forwarding settings.

Be aware, conditional call forwarding (used for voicemail) is different from normal call forwarding (unconditional).
