How to reset your password

Resetting your password in VXT is a straightforward process, whether you still have access to your current password or need to reset it due to a forgotten password. Here are the steps to how handle both scenarios:

If You Don’t Have Access to Your Current Password

  1. Open the VXT app on your computer.
  2. Click SIGN IN.
  3. On the sign-in page, enter your email address associated with your VXT account.
  4. If your account uses an email and password to sign in, VXT will ask you for a password.
    1. If you use another sign in method, VXT will present you with the relevant sign in method flow. 
    2. Other sign in methods, like Microsoft, require you to use the password associated with that service. If you cannot remember your Microsoft, password VXT cannot help you. In that case, please reach out to the relevant individual at your firm.
  1. Click Forgot password? near the bottom right corner of the password field.


  2. VXT will send a password reset email to the email address you provided.
  3. Check your email inbox for the password reset email from VXT. Open the email and click on the link provided to reset your password. It may take a few minutes for it to arrive.
  4. You will be redirected to a page where you can enter and confirm your new password. Once completed, save your new password in accordance with the security policy at your firm.
  5. With your password reset, you can now log in to your VXT account using your new password.

If you have access to your current password

  1. Open VXT application

    Launch the VXT application on your desktop.

  2. Go to settings

    Navigate to the settings located in the lower left corner of your screen.

  3. Select account settings

    In the settings menu, choose “Account”.

  4. Access actions menu

    Within the account settings, find and select the “Actions” option.

  5. Change your password

    Click on “Change Your Password.”

  6. Input current and new password

    Enter your current password, followed by your new password. Confirm the new password and save the changes.

By following these steps, you can easily reset your VXT password whether you still have access to your current one or need to recover access due to a forgotten password.

Please note, that signing in with Google, Microsoft, or Apple, relies on integrations with these third party services. That means VXT does not directly control the sign in process. So, if you encounter an error with Google, Microsoft or Apple, you may require support from them.
