Hide your caller ID

Want to keep your number private when making calls? This guide shows you how to hide your caller ID in VXT, so your outgoing calls won’t display your phone number.

1. Navigate to settings

   • Open the VXT application and locate the settings tab. Found in the bottom left hand corner of your screen.

     

2. Access phone number settings

   • Within the settings tab, go to the phone numbers section. Here, you’ll see a list of all the phone numbers associated with your account.

     

3. Select the phone number

   • Choose the phone number for which you want to hide the caller ID. Clicking on the number or its name will prompt the phone settings for that particular number.

     

4. Open call settings

   • In the phone settings menu, navigate to the calls tab. This section controls various call-related settings, including caller ID visibility.

     

5. Activate caller ID hiding

   • Turn on the hide caller ID option. Enabling this setting will show your caller ID as 'Private Number' to the recipient.

     

By following these steps, you can manage your privacy effectively while using the VXT platform, ensuring that your caller ID is not disclosed during outbound calls.
