Using multiple caller IDs

This article will help you manage multiple caller IDs

Want to change which number shows up when you call? No problem. This guide shows you how to switch your Caller ID in VXT on both desktop and mobile — plus what to do if you can’t see the option.

In this article we’ll cover the steps to:

Changing your Caller ID in the desktop application

  1. Go to Settings

Open VXT and navigate to the settings in the bottom left hand corner

  2. Calling Settings

Select the calling settings from the settings menu. Click the drop-down menu on Caller ID and choose the Caller ID you want to use.

  3. Enable Caller ID Switcher

Turn on ‘Show Caller ID switcher’.

This will make the Caller ID switcher visible in the dialing bar at the top of your screen, allowing you to easily select your Caller ID at any time.

Once you enable the Caller ID switcher it will appear in your dialing bar as shown in the screenshot below:

What to do if you don’t have access to the Caller ID?

  • Access to Caller IDs needs to be granted by an admin to a user. Having a caller ID means that you have the ability to call through VXT using the number given. Here's a guide to help admins provide Caller ID access to users.
  • The ability to change your caller ID is only available if you have access to more than one Caller ID. If you an’t see additional options and you think you should be able to, ask your admin to give you access.
