This article will teach you how to use VXT Meet to record, transcribe and summarise your video and in-person meetings with VXT Meet, the AI notetaker for lawyers.

VXT Meet saves all of the important details from your in-person and video meetings to your legal software via our integrations.
Meet records meeting audio using your microphone and system audio. It does not host meetings and it does not “join” meetings as a participant or bot.
With permission, Meet automatically detects when you start a video meeting on your computer, and will prompt you to start recording a meeting via a meeting detected notification. Meeting detected notifications look different on WindowsOS compared to MacOS (screenshot below).

To start a meeting recording with VXT either:
- Click on the meeting detected notification, or
- Navigate to the Meet page in VXT, and click NEW at the top of the page.

Limitations
As of it's release on the 28th of February 2026, Meet has a variety of limitations that we intend to resolve in the future, including:
- Meeting recordings do not automatically end. You have to end the recording manually.
- VXT Meet is not available on mobile.
- Transcripts are not organised by speaker (diarization).
- Speaker names are not editable in transcripts.
- Transcripts are not created in real-time. Transcripts are created after the meeting is saved.
