Making calls in VXT is easy, and there are plenty of features to help you during a call. In this guide, we’ll show you how to start a call using the dialer or click-to-call, and explore all the tools you can use while talking.

How to make a phone call?
In VXT, we have different ways to initiate a phone call via the dialer of the app and by clicking a phone number from other applications.
VXT supports making phone calls via our web, desktop computer and mobile applications. VXT is not compatible with physical SIP desk phones.
Using the dialer
- Click the dialer on top of the screen.

- Browse through the list or input a name or a phone number to choose a contact you wanted to reach out.

- Drag your arrow to highlight the user you wanted to select and tap to initiate the call.

💡 You can now use different in-call features. See the downward section to know more. - When you decide to end the call, click the red hang-up button at the corner of the call prompt.

Click to call
Click-to-call is a feature enabling users to start a phone call directly from another application with a simple click on a phone number. You can learn more about it here.
What can VXT let you do during a call?
- Mic - Lets you mute/unmute yourself in a call.

- Notes - Lets you take notes during a call and even mention other users to notify them after you end the call.

- Transfer - Lets you transfer a call to your other colleague. Click here for more.

- Hold - Lets you temporarily place a phone call on pause or hold while remaining connected to the other party.

- Record - Lets you record or stop recording during a call. Click here for more.

- Keypad - Lets you access the call menu for auto-attendant, virtual receptionist, or IVR.

- Add to call - also known as call conference, which allows you to add other teammates to an ongoing call.
