It's easy to set up your phone system with Vxt Call. Once you have installed the Vxt app our easy setup process takes less than a minute. Follow the video tutorial to set up your Vxt Call account, or if you’d prefer to read step-by-step instructions then skip to the written guide below.
Set up a virtual phone number to make and receive calls.
Step 1: Create an Account
The first step in setting up Vxt Call should be to create an account. You can do so with a phone number or you can also use your email address, Google account, or Apple account to set up an account with Vxt. Visit our guide on how to set up a Vxt Voicemail account to find out more.
Step 2: Add a Phone
Once you have downloaded Vxt, created an account and have opened the app (in this case on the web), you should be greeted with a screen similar to the image below. From here you need to select "+ Add A Phone" to add a number to Vxt Call.
To begin the setup process, select the type of inbox you are looking to create. In this case it is Vxt Call.
Step 3: Select your location
Once you have selected which inbox you are looking to create, you need to select the country and region for your new virtual phone number using the drop down menus, as shown in the example below.
Step 4: Finalise your payment
To start using Vxt Call you need to finalise your payment and organisation payment method. If you are using Vxt Call as part of an organisation then this should be automatically filled in for you.
Select continue to finalise this payment option.
Step 5: Receive Your Vxt Call Number
After finalising the payment method, your Vxt Call inbox will be created and you will be given a Vxt Call number. This number is what callers can dial to reach you using Vxt Call. You can now use this number to call others with Vxt Call too.
If the set-up process is successful you will then be asked to name your new Vxt Call number to make it easier to identify.
If you have successfully set-up Vxt Call your inbox will look similar to the image below (featuring both a Vxt Voicemail inbox and a Vxt Call Number).
Step 6: Test Everything Is Working
If you have followed all the steps above correctly, then you should be able to start calling others and receiving calls with Vxt Call. However, it's always a good idea to test everything is working as it should by making a test call. If the call successfully dials, this means that Vxt Call has been set up successfully and it will now be possible to make and receive calls with Vxt.
However, if this is not the case, then it's possible one of the previous steps were not completed correctly. Try the set up process again, making sure you not only input the correct country and region, but also that you choose to add your phone number to Vxt Call (not Voicemail) in step 2. Also double check your payment options to make sure they've been inputted correctly. If you have correctly followed all instructions above and are still running into issues then please send us a message at firstname.lastname@example.org.
