Email drafts

Turn your call details into ready to send email, automatically

VXT can draft an email summarizing your call so you can quickly follow up without starting from scratch.

📝 Note: This is different from Call records to email, which automatically sends you a call's details (date, time, duration, notes) after every call. Email drafts, on the other hand, are AI-generated follow-up emails you review and send yourself — they're not sent automatically.

In this article, we'll cover:

Change the email draft prompt

  1. Go to admin.

  2. Click configuration.

  3. Select AI.

  4. Click edit to change the default email draft prompt.

    1. Select a prompt history from the right tab to switch between past prompts

  5. Hit save.

Create an email

Post-call note window:

  1. On the after-call window, click the Email tab.

    📝 Note: The email draft is only generated once the call's transcription is ready — it won't be available immediately after the call ends if transcription is still processing.

From a previous call:

  1. Go to the phone page.

  2. Select the conversation.

  3. Click on the call.

  4. Locate the Email tab.

Using the Email tab

Once you're on the Email tab, you can:

  • Review and edit Email content:

  • Add To, CC, and BCC recipients

  • Edit the Subject line.

  • Copy to Clipboard to paste the draft wherever you need it.

  • Open in Email to open the draft in your default email client.
