Default matters

Default matters is a feature of VXT's practice management system integrations, like Clio. Learn more about it in this article.

When you save a call to a matter in VXT, that matter becomes the default matter for the contact. After a matter is associated with a contact, text messages sent or received are automatically saved to the matter, and when you finish a call with the contact their default matter is automatically selected. 

Edit or remove a default matter

You can update or remove the default matter associated with a contact at any time by following these instructions:

  1. Click on the Phone page. 
  2. Find the conversation with the contact you'd like to edit.
  3. At the top of the conversation locate the default matter and click on it.
  4. Edit the default matter.
    1. Click on the current default matter and search for a new one, or
    2. Hover over the default matter and click the X on the right-hand side.
