This article explains how the Clio integration works in VXT — from connecting and disconnecting it, to where call notes and SMS are saved.

How to connect Clio integration to VXT

  1. Go to the ‘Settings.’
  2. Visit the ‘Integrations’ tab.
  3. Search for ‘Clio.’
  4. Select your region.
  5. Click ‘Allow Access’ to let VXT access your Clio account.

You'll be automatically redirected to the VXT app, and a 'Connected' label will appear on the Clio tab to indicate that the connection was successfully established. VXT will then download your contacts from Clio and keep them synced.

How to save your call notes

After a call

To ensure the notes dialog displays, go to the Settings > Calling > Open notes dialog when call ends and set to either ‘For answered calls’ or ‘Always.’

  1. Locate the Clio section.
  2. Type the matter you intend to save your notes in.
  3. Select the matter.
  4. Click the label ‘Log a time entry’ to modify the activity category, rate per hour, duration, and description. You can also set the call as non-billable.
  5. Add notes or check your existing notes.
  6. Hit save.

When left unsaved after a call

  1. Go to the ‘Phone Page.’
  2. Click the number or contact to show your communication thread. 
  3. Hover over the intended call. 
  4. Click Notes & Integration.
  5. Follow the instructions in this link.

How to find SMS and Calls saved in Clio

  1. Go to your Phone page
  2. Select the contact to open your conversation with them.
  3. Click the link, ‘Clio contact,’ under the contact’s name at the top of yourscreen.

  4. Select the ‘Communications’ tab after being redirected to the Clio webpage.

There you have it! Your SMS and calls should appear on your screen now, where you can check your call transcriptions, notes, and summaries.

How to delete synced Clio contacts in VXT 

  1. Go to your Clio account.
  2. Select the ‘Contacts’ tab.
  3. Choose the contact you wish to delete.
  4. Check the empty box on the leftmost side of the contact’s name.
  5. Select ‘Delete contact’, which appears at the top of the page.
  6. Check another empty box to confirm, and hit ‘Delete contact.’
  7. Follow the instructions in this section.

VXT is not syncing my contacts

  1. Visit your Settings
  2. Select the Integrations tab.
  3. Click Clio and tap the Syncing tab.
    1. Select the ‘Sync now’ button or 
    2. Disable and enable the toggle switch for the ‘Contact syncing’ or 
    3. Disconnect and reconnect the integration.

How to disconnect Clio

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Integrations.
  3. Locate the Clio tab (Edit settings)
  4. Click the Other tab and tap ‘Disconnect.’
  5. Hit disconnect once again when a prompt window appears.
